The proprietary software will help franchisees with billing, staying connected with current/former customers, bookkeeping, and payroll.
“We’re really excited about the development of our new proprietary software which will really make our franchise model much more efficient. Early on in our development we created a similar bookkeeping system in Microsoft Excel, but this new software is quicker and really beneficial as it keeps track of trends and makes it that much easier to stay in contact with both our customers and employees. This software will change the way our franchisees are able to conduct business and we couldn’t be happier about it,” David Sedbrook, CEO of Illuminate Gym said. Over the past year Illuminate Gym has been looking for a solution to streamline their bookkeeping at all of their facilities for over a year. They looked into purchasing existing software programs from an outside sources, but in many cases the software out there didn’t match up with Illuminate Gym’s business model and there would be a monthly royalty paid by every franchise location, which another royalty is obviously exactly what every franchisee doesn’t want to hear. “Our goal as a franchisor is to keep money in our franchisees’ pockets rather than adding more monthly fees on top of their bottom line. That’s why we made the investment into a new piece of software for our franchisees’ business, which we feel will prove to be a profitable application for our franchisees’ businesses, and in turn make Illuminate Gym stronger as we move into the future,” David Sedbrook, CEO of Illuminate Gym said.

Greenwood Village—July 20, 2010—Illuminate Gym, affordable personal training franchise featuring unique High Oxygen Training (HOT), announced today that the Greenwood Village Illuminate Gym is offering its ‘First Annual Charity Zumba Jam’ in support of Brent’s Place this Saturday from 10:00-11:30 AM.
Brent’s Place is a wonderful charity that offers housing for cancer patients and their families while they undergo treatment at area hospitals. The admission for the ‘First Annual Charity Zumba Jam’ is $5.00 with a household product donation or $8.00 without a household donation. Illuminate Gym asks that all guests bring household supplies to donate to ‘Brent’s Place’ such as, trash bags, unscented laundry detergent, toilet paper, trash bags, and Lysol Wipes. George Steinbrenner died yesterday at the age of 80 after owning the New York Yankees for 37 years. Love the Yankees or hate the Yankees you have to respect their tenacity and their will to win which started with George Steinbrenner. At Illuminate Gym we would like to take a moment to salute Mr. Steinbrenner for becoming a part of the rich history of the New York Yankees and for having the perseverance to push forward and become the best he and his team can become. At Illuminate Gym our personal trainers and fitness staff do the same for our clients on a daily basis. Two clients at Illuminate Gym in Denver, Colorado are currently in the fight of their lives with Cancer but they have both made the choice to fight back with fitness. One of these clients has already beaten Cancer once, but this time she is fighting even harder by keeping her body healthy and lean before her chemotherapy treatments begin. The other customer has already gotten into the mind set that he will beat Cancer and he refuses to live a life without fitness. Both of these customers have made it very clear the Illuminate Gym helps them stay fit both physically and mentally because our personal trainers are committed to not letting our customers quit. We won’t quit on them and in turn, we ask them to not to quit on their fitness or their futures. He was 33 years old and he walked into the Illuminate Gym located in Denver, Colorado to meet with a personal trainer. He was overweight but the youthful look on his face made it hard to believe that this gentleman wasn’t healthy. However, as he sat down with a personal trainer at Illuminate Gym he explained that he had suffered a heart attack 6 months before because of a poor diet that consisted of too much fat, salt, sugar, alcohol and of course bulk of his ‘nutrtion’ was coming from fast-food. On top of a horrible diet he worked tirelessly behind a computer watching domestic and foreign stock markets in an attempt to make the safe bet to make investors millions of dollars. The problem was he had forgotten about himself and his own health.
“I made pretty good money and unfortunately I forgot about myself and my health. I bought beautiful suits, nice cars, and a nice house,” he explained. Then it happened… A severe heart attack hit this particular client at age 33 and he was faced with the reality that he had focused on all the wrong things in life.
“I just feel blessed I have a second chance to live a healthier life and I’m hoping Illuminate Gym’s personal trainers can help,” he said. He’s right he does have a second chance and his focus is now on himself. This client helped me take a look at what we do day-to-day and put it into perspective. I always say that investing in your health and fitness is not a waste of money even though too many believe it is. Today I realize that we have living proof that working too hard, eating poorly, and not working out can lead you to a successful career and an early death where you will not be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
