The power of the pen…

Yesterday I posted a blog that was taken completely wrong by a client of a personal trainer who used to workout at illuminate gym.  The truth is the particular blog had nothing to do with these concerned people and they should have known that I as a person have never seen negativity from either of their beings.  In fact, I use her story of finding balance in her career and health to conquer an unhealthy lifestyle at least once a month with my clients.  I never use her by name but I have always respected the journey that both her and her husband have taken and the joy they have always pushed outwards even as the worst of adversities faced their futures.  These two people are amazing individuals  who have accomplished more in fitness in the last few years than most do in a lifetime.  Hell I’m in the fitness industry and I’ve never completed a marathon.  However, as a writer and a business owner you have to be sensitive to the mood of people around you because the power of words, even when misunderstood, can be very destructive.  To these two people I hope they understand that blog had nothing… and I mean nothing to do with them or their relationship with their personal trainer.  In fact, I am sure my disappointment is far more greater than theirs’ over this same situation and it may be damaged beyond repair.  I hope these two individuals understand the respect I have for both of them, their accomplishments, and their outlook on life.  I always have.  That being said writing a blog like that was completely out of line with the current situation at hand because I should have known people could look at the blog as if I was writing about them.  The people I was writing about should have no doubt who they were because they took advantage of the generosity and understanding of both myself and ‘another’ personal trainer, but that doesn’t change the fact the blog should have never been written.  For that I apologize and I would love to speak about this situation more in depth with anyone who wishes to as I am still in the dark about the entire truth.  Thanks and have a healthy day.
